Job summary

Mortenson seeks a Senior Safety Manager to lead the Zero Injury Safety program for multiple project teams and sites in New Mexico, with options to relocate to Denver or travel to next assignments. You will drive safety strategy, coordinate with partners, and develop training content while ensuring regulatory compliance across projects.

Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to oversee hazard analyses and incident investigations are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent safety experience required.
• Experience leading multi-project safety programs and hazard analyses.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and manage Zero Injury Safety Program elements across projects.
• Collaborate with trade partners and joint-venture teams on safety.
• Conduct hazard assessments during planning and construction.
• Develop and deliver safety training and orientation content.
• Oversee safety data, OSHA reporting, and trend analyses.
• Monitor site activities, document deficiencies, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and coach safety staff.
• Mentor safety staff and provide development opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA/ANSI standards and procedures.
• Support safety leadership in achieving metrics and incident response.
