Job summary

Quality Edge, a leading metal exterior building products manufacturer based in Walker, MI, seeks a hands-on Safety Manager reporting to the VP of HR/Safety. You will reinforce our safety culture, lead programs, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations across multiple locations.

You will train staff, conduct regular safety inspections, manage PPE and safety gear, coordinate workers’ compensation filings, and drive continuous improvements in safety practices while traveling to

Qualifications

10-15 years' experience in a lead safety role.
Proficiency reading and interpreting OSHA/MIOSHA documentation.
Willingness to travel to other locations at least 2x per year.

Responsibilities

Maintain all safety programs and documentation for all locations.
Manage and provide required safety training for staff, including annual refreshers and forklift certifications.
Manage safety inspections and report results with resolutions to management.
Lead the Safety Committee meetings and coordinate with HR/Safety leadership.
Respond to workplace health issues, investigate incidents, and manage follow-up.
