Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in hazardous materials or safety.
• Proven leadership and policy implementation ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Certification: CSP/CHMM/CET.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.
• Ability to foster a safety-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety processes and programs to reduce risk.
• Review and update safety and health programs for SET and clients.
• Measure safety performance and report to management.
• Lead safety program orientation and training for staff.
• Oversee safety inspection and audit program.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct accident, incident, and injury investigations.
• Lead safety meetings at Michigan locations.
• Support safety incentive and recognition programs.
• Pursue ongoing safety knowledge and professional development.
• Monitor OSHA, DOT and EPA requirements to ensure compliance.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
