Job summary

Quality Edge, a leading manufacturer of metal exterior building products, is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to reinforce our safety culture and lead established programs. You will report to the VP of HR/Safety and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations across multiple locations in MI and beyond.

The role requires inspecting workspaces, conducting safety training, managing PPE and safety gear, coordinating emergency drills, and driving continuous improvement in safety practices.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in a lead safety role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field preferred.
• OSHA certification a plus.
• Travel to other locations at least 2x per year required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all safety programs and documentation for all locations.
• Provide safety training for new hires and annual refresher training, forklift certifications, and maintain training records.
• Manage chemicals and SDS logs for all locations.
• Conduct safety inspections and report results and resolutions.
• Manage safety reporting system and follow up on open items.
• Lead safety committee meetings and participate in corporate Safety Committee.
