Job summary

Group O, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager in Milan, IL to lead safety across office, production, manufacturing and warehousing. The role combines strong regulatory knowledge with practical, people-centered leadership to build sustainable safety programs.

You will engage with regulatory agencies, customers, and leaders, delivering training and risk controls while actively managing budgets and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years’ experience as a Safety Manager or related role.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Experience maintaining OSHA 300 Log records.
• Environmental Health and Safety program development and implementation.
• Forklift certification and workers’ compensation experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and oversee safety training and awareness programs.
• Provide safety training including proper use of safety equipment.
• Monitor OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations for compliance.
• Support workers’ compensation communications with stakeholders.
• Investigate injuries and near misses to identify root causes.
• Maintain OSHA 300 Logs and safety-related records.
• Prepare reports and analyses for risk assessment and planning.
• Develop strategic safety plans to reduce injuries.
• Manage annual safety budget and travel across IL Quad Cities.
• Lead safety initiatives across diverse environments.
