Job summary

Cec Companies is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety coordinators on multiple projects from Cedar Rapids, IA. The role focuses on audits, incident investigations, and day‑to‑day safety operations on construction sites.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in safety management, with CSP/ASP/CHST/STS/CSHO-C credentials and OSHA 500/501 training. English/Spanish bilingualism is preferred; some overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Occupational Safety or Health preferred.
• Recognized certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, STS, or CSHO-C.
• OSHA 500 & 501 and related training.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ progressive safety management experience.
• At least 5 years in a management level role.

Responsibilities

• Manage field safety staff, surveys, audits, and investigations.
• Ensure daily Velocity reports are submitted and reviewed for completeness.
• Provide guidance to project leadership on safety actions and corrective plans.
• Maintain safety policies and coordinate with owners and safety representatives.
• Document accidents, incidents, and near misses and communicate findings.
