Job summary

CEC is a top specialty subcontractor seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety coordinators and drive incident investigations and daily operations on projects. This safety‑sensitive role requires leadership across field teams and strong policy adherence.

Applicants should have a degree in Occupational Safety or Health, CSP/ASP/CHST/STS/CSHO‑C certification, OSHA 500/501 training, and 5–7 years in safety with management experience. bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Safety or Health preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP/ASP/CHST/STS/CSHO-C).
  • OSHA 500 & 501 training.
  • Minimum 5–7 years in safety and health management.
  • Minimum 5 years in a management level position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage field safety staff, audits, investigations on projects.
  • Ensure Velocity reports are submitted daily and reviewed for completeness.
  • Develop corrective action plans with site supervision for deficiencies.
  • Maintain knowledge of CEC policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to project leadership on safety matters.
  • Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Maintain records to meet corporate, client, or regulatory requirements.
  • Document findings during site visits and develop safe execution plans.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance.
  • Occasional overnight travel and on-call duties.
