Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead on-site safety across projects nationwide. You will enforce safety policies, conduct hazard analyses, and coordinate with Safety Team and trade partners to prevent incidents.

The role requires a Four-year degree in Safety-related fields, OSHA 30, and minimum 2 years in construction safety with a clean driving record. Travel and collaboration across departments are essential aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 2 years of building construction safety experience or equivalent education and experience with knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• OSHA 30 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training.
• CHST within 2 years of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify known potential exposures and lead implementation of corrective actions.
• Pass customer required background and security screenings.
• Valid driver's license with clear record.

Responsibilities

• Partner with McGough Safety Team and project staff to enforce safety policy and procedures.
• Stop unsafe practices and enforce corrective actions according to regulations and owner requirements.
• Lead pre-construction safety planning and hazard analysis for projects.
• Provide technical and administrative direction on safety matters.
• Involve in OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
• Conduct weekly jobsite safety walks and bi-weekly safety meetings.
• Maintain and review safety documentation and reports.
• Represent McGough professionally at events and meetings.
• Collaborate across departments to support safety and Lean initiatives.
