Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead and audit safety programs on a construction project.

You will develop and implement site safety plans, ensure regulatory compliance, train staff, and coordinate with subcontractors and field teams to maintain a safe work environment. Based in Boise or New York, you will oversee safety management across this project, drive incident investigations, manage KPIs, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction safety management.
• Knowledge of Federal and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Independent yet collaborative with field teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, and communicate the Site‑Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) to all project personnel.
• Ensure safety protocols align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate daily with craft workers to promote buy‑in to the safety program.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
• Provide timely safety reports to project management and leadership.
