Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Engineer of Safety to own safety programs and ensure equipment compliance across new and existing facilities. You will partner with Design, Engineering, Operations and Facilities teams to apply OSHA/ANSI standards and drive risk mitigation.

You will lead RAP risk assessments, guide equipment design reviews, and manage go‑live activities from design to activation, while communicating clearly with stakeholders and building a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Safety (CSP) or related professional certification/s.
• Proven safety leadership and risk-management experience.
• Ability to influence partners and leadership; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead RAP risk assessment processes and assist in equipment design reviews.
• Partner with Design/Engineering/Operations/Facilities teams to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Develop strategic safety programs and drive go‑live activities from design to activation.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and foster a strong safety culture.
