Job summary

Ford Energy seeks a Senior Engineer, Occupational Safety to serve as the site safety SME, developing innovative hazard controls and maintaining SOS and safety processes across the plant. You will lead safety programs, guide engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to improve risk management and compliance.

The role involves training, audits, incident investigations, and coordinating with external auditors, with domestic and international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field with 4+ years of safety experience.
• Experience leading safety programs, audits, and risk-based decision making.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of plant-wide safety processes and safety training.
• Conduct inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Guide engineers and cross-functional teams on safety program execution.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, drive corrective actions without compromising operations.
• Develop training programs to prevent injuries and reduce hazards.
• Lead safety and security projects with external auditors and internal leaders.
