Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Safety Director for the Advanced Facilities Group to lead safety programs nationwide across Industrial, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. The role focuses on policy implementation, analytics, and collaboration with Risk, Insurance, and marketing teams.

Preferred KC, MO-based location with strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a track record in large-scale facilities safety. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field.
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 10+ years construction safety experience (Required).
• 5+ years people management experience (Required).
• 2+ years budgeting or financial management experience (Required).
• Safety leadership experience on large-scale advanced facilities/high-tech projects (Preferred).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Implements and drives health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Measures safety metrics and provides analytics to leadership.
• Supports workers’ compensation processes with Risk and Insurance teams.
• Leads Drug and Alcohol program per policies.
• Designs and conducts safety training for regional teams.
• Leads investigation on serious or catastrophic safety matters.
• Collaborates with safety professionals nationwide to monitor trends.
• Owns prequalification platforms (ISNET, ConstructSecure) and coordinates with client solutions.
