Job summary

DP Electric is a premier commercial electrical contractor seeking a Safety Coordinator III to lead complex audits, investigations, and risk assessments on large projects in Arizona and the Southwest. You will provide advanced technical support in the field and mentor junior safety staff.

This field-based role focuses on enforcing OSHA guidelines, developing training materials, and driving safety programs. You will ensure regulatory compliance, track inspections, and collaborate with teams to

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of safety-related experience.
• OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and First Aid/CPR certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex safety audits and inspections on larger and higher-risk projects.
• Lead investigation of complex incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Run risk assessments on work areas and present findings and reports to safety management.
• Detect, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions on the projects you cover.
• Provide advanced technical and leadership support to field teams and crews.
• Mentor junior safety staff, sharing technique, judgment, and troubleshooting approach.
• Provide guidance to employees on safety procedures and compliance.
• Draft and update safety training materials.
• Train staff on safety protocols and preventative measures.
• Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, and keep the company aligned with Occupational Safety and Health guidelines.
• Collaborate with departments to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives.
• Support development and communication of emergency response plans.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident documentation.
• Participate in safety meetings and committees, offering insight and recommendations.
• Stay current on industry best practices and evolving safety trends.
