Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a dedicated safety professional to lead our safety program and ensure OSHA and state compliance across Amarillo operations. You will develop trainings, perform audits, and guide incident investigations to reduce risks and injuries.

You will partner with management and contractors to align safety expectations, drive improvements, and maintain certifications while fostering a culture of safety across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline.
• Certified Safety Professional designation (BCSP) preferred.
• Five years of work experience in the safety field.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the employee safety program in partnership with management.
• Lead safety investigations and ergonomic assessments.
• Provide regulatory compliance training and audit safety programs.
• Advise site management on safety improvements and contractor safety.
• Maintain professional certifications and participate in safety committees.
