Job summary

Xcel Energy in Colorado is seeking a Safety Professional to lead medium-to-large projects ensuring OSHA compliance, hazard control, and regulatory alignment across business units.

You will provide safety consulting, audits, training, and incident investigations, mentor site management, and help develop programs to protect workers while supporting company goals. Applicants should have a BCSP-preferred credential and 3+ years in safety roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline or equivalent.
• 3 years of work experience in the safety field.
• Certified Safety Professional designation (BCSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety consulting services to internal customers.
• Conduct hazard identification, audits, ergonomic assessments and incident reviews.
• Perform safety site observations and annual audits to measure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver regulatory compliance training for new hires and ongoing OSHA training.
