Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist in the greater Michigan Center, MI area to support workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental health initiatives within a manufacturing setting.

This role partners with operations and site leadership to drive a strong safety culture, deliver training programs, support audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in a related field
• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk assessment processes
• Experience performing training, audits, and maintaining compliance docs
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement, floor presence, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and risk assessments
• Administer EHS training programs, onboarding, compliance tracking, and safety documentation systems
• Support OSHA/regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness activities, and environmental health & safety reporting
• Partner with site leadership to implement proactive safety improvements and maintain audit readiness
