Job summary

Greyhound Bus Lines Inc. is seeking a Manager, Safety & Compliance to lead safety programs, driver training, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety initiatives across the organization.

The role requires ensuring audit-ready processes, incident investigations, and proactive risk reduction, while partnering with Operations, Fleet/Maintenance, and HR to foster a strong safety culture. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, engineering, transportation, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Five or more years in safety/transportation compliance/risk management incl. 2+ years in a leadership role; 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT driver requirements, Hours of Service, ELDs, driver qualification files, CVSA rules preferred.
• Valid CDL and commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong communication, investigation, analytical, coaching, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with safety/compliance recordkeeping and reporting systems including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee driver qualification files and FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse processes.
• Manage continuous safety training programs and monitor safety performance.
• Lead investigations of accidents, injuries, near misses, and safety violations; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Fleet/Maintenance, HR, and leadership to embed safety in day-to-day decisions.
