Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety professional to lead the development and administration of safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and safeguard our facilities and workforce.

The role emphasizes accident prevention, OSHA compliance, program management, and collaboration with operations, security and risk teams to maintain a safe, secure environment. Candidates should bring experience in foodservice safety and incident management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum 4 - 6 years Occupational safety and health management or related area
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Human Resources, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related area
• 6-10 years Occupational safety and health management or related area within foodservice industry
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and/or related area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety programs within budgetary guidelines. Conduct safety training, as necessary.
• Decrease 'lost days from work' and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) recordable incidents.
• Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and perform job duties to effectively meet those needs.
• Develop interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and externally.
• Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers/vendors and coworkers.
• Improve safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor safety programs and implement changes necessary to ensure the health and safety of our associates.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
