Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety strategy, compliance, and culture in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing environment. This role focuses on proactive risk reduction, regulatory excellence, and continuous improvement to protect every associate.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in safety leadership within high-volume production settings and a proven ability to drive improvements in safety KPIs while coaching teams at all levels.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of safety leadership in food manufacturing or USDA-regulated operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, HACCP, GMP, RTE.
• Proven ability to influence at all levels and lead safety in fast-paced production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Culture across plant operations through coaching, accountability, and visible engagement.
• Ensure OSHA/USDA Compliance with audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Manage Risk Programs including hazard assessments, ergonomics, incident investigations, and JSA.
• Deliver Training for LOTO, PPE, RTE, emergency response, and frontline/leadership development.
• Drive Continuous Improvement to strengthen safety KPIs and reduce operational risk.
• Own Safety Metrics with data analysis, reporting, and trend-based action plans.
