Job summary

Pet Food Experts, LLC is seeking a detail-driven leader to oversee safety, security, and regulatory compliance across our distribution centers in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. You will drive OSHA, FDA, and food-safety programs, develop training, and ensure rigorous records and audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in safety, compliance, or food safety (distribution or manufacturing preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree; OSHA or Food Safety certs a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee safety programs, audits, and inspections (OSHA, FDA, EPA, DOT).
• Oversee food safety and food defense programs, including pest control and GMP compliance.
• Develop and deliver safety training in partnership with corporate teams.
• Maintain regulatory records, reports, and filings.
• Serve as the main point of contact for audits, inspections, and contractors.
• Support new projects with safety expertise (facilities, equipment, product development).
• Stay current on regulations and guide leadership on compliance best practices.
• Oversee and support on-site physical security practices, including access control, visitor management, security procedures, facility security assessments, and response to security-related incidents.
• Partner with site leadership and external security providers, as needed, to identify security risks and implement appropriate measures to protect employees, facilities, inventory, equipment, and other company assets.
