Job summary
Sophia Learning is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support the mission-critical applications powering our online learning platform. You will own technical decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.
You will work across database, backend, and frontend layers, embrace AI-assisted development, promote TDD, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing web applications.
- At least 5 years of hands-on full-stack development across modern web technologies.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver full-stack features across web applications.
- Take end-to-end ownership from technical direction through production health.
- Own technical direction by evaluating trade-offs and establishing scalable patterns.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, QA, and engineers to shape requirements.
- Promote Agile practices, including TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide level 3 support.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
- Explore AI-powered features and AI-assisted workflows for the platform.
