Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build the technical foundation for AI-enabled education at scale. You will shape how learners interact with Claude, from content delivery to assessments and credentialing, and own the platform from authentication to delivery systems.

You will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and data teams, partnering with educators to deliver scalable, reliable educational experiences powered by AI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with platform scale
• Strong passion for education and AI-native learning
• Quality-focused with expertise in backend systems and APIs
• Experience building and operating scalable platforms serving many users
• Ability to translate pedagogy into technical architecture
• Experience collaborating with security and infrastructure teams
• Familiarity with AI tools in engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Architect and own Anthropic’s enterprise education platform and infrastructure.
• Define and drive the technical vision for AI-driven educational experiences.
• Build AI-augmented pipelines for content generation and real-time adaptation.
• Design platform capabilities for adaptive paths and competency-based progression.
• Interface with security, infra, and data teams for compliant integration.
• Create abstractions enabling non-engineers to configure and extend experiences.
• Make product-level decisions shaping the learning experience.
