Job summary

Proper Voltage is a California-based battery-technology startup building intelligent battery systems for robotics, data centers, and defense. The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning will own the S&OP process, reconciling demand with contract manufacturer capacity and cell supply to keep builds on track.

You will start with hands-on day-to-day materials execution, then evolve into planning leadership as volume grows, collaborating with sales, engineering, and suppliers to address constraints

Qualifications

• 7+ years in supply chain planning, S&OP, or demand planning in hardware or industrial products.
• Direct hands-on experience standing up an S&OP or demand-capacity process from scratch at an early-stage or resource-constrained company.
• Experience reconciling demand forecasts against supplier capacity constraints.
• Hands-on materials execution: PO management, supplier expediting, build readiness tracking.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills; comfortable building planning tools without a dedicated system.
• Ability to lead cross-functional alignment of engineering, sales, and leadership on a shared plan.

Responsibilities

• Build the rolling demand forecast and capacity model from scratch.
• Maintain day-to-day materials execution and ensure build readiness with contract manufacturers.
• Run scenario planning to provide leadership with real options before shortages occur.
• Own long-lead cell capacity planning in partnership with cell procurement.
• Help define and hire for a dedicated materials execution role as volume grows.
