Descripción del empleo

Industry: Advanced Battery Technology / Manufacturing

Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus + benefits

This is an opportunity for an experienced supply chain leader to build and scale the global supply chain function for an advanced battery technology company developing next-generation lithium-ion cells for high-performance applications.

You will own the strategy across direct material sourcing, contract manufacturing, supplier performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Operations, and Product, you will ensure the business has the supplier network and manufacturing capacity required to support new product introductions and commercial growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set the strategy, negotiate complex agreements, and build the systems and team needed to support a growing international manufacturing footprint.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the global sourcing strategy for critical raw materials and components
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and long‑term commercial agreements
  • Manage contract manufacturing partners across performance, cost, capacity, and production ramp‑up
  • Develop dual‑sourcing, continuity, and risk‑mitigation strategies
  • Build long‑range capacity plans aligned with product and commercial forecasts
  • Own landed‑cost strategy across materials, manufacturing, logistics, tariffs, and duties
  • Support technology transfer and new product introduction with manufacturing partners
  • Build and develop a high‑performing global supply chain organization
  • Establish supplier governance, performance management, and compliance processes
Required Experience:
  • 12+ years of experience across supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or manufacturing operations
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams and developing supply chain organizations
  • Strong experience managing contract manufacturers from qualification through scale‑up and volume production
  • Proven success negotiating complex supply and manufacturing agreements
  • Experience managing international supplier networks, particularly across Asia
  • Strong understanding of cost modeling, landed‑cost analysis, tariffs, and trade impacts
  • Experience supporting new product introductions within a complex manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience within batteries, energy storage, advanced materials, electronics, aerospace, or defense
  • Knowledge of lithium‑ion cell materials, components, or manufacturing
  • Experience building or transforming a supply chain function within a high‑growth business
  • Exposure to government‑regulated or compliance‑driven supply chains
  • MBA or relevant supply chain certification
Ideal Profile:
  • Strategic enough to build the long‑term supply chain roadmap, but hands‑on enough to drive execution
  • Commercially strong and confident negotiating with global suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Experienced in balancing cost, quality, capacity, continuity, and speed
  • Comfortable operating within a scaling, technically complex manufacturing environment
  • Able to build strong alignment across engineering, quality, operations, finance, and product teams

This is a high‑visibility position with direct influence over manufacturing scale, product launches, supply continuity, and commercial performance. You will have the opportunity to build the function, develop a global team, and shape the supply chain strategy behind next‑generation battery products.
