Job summary

Cytel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled epidemiology data scientist to support Real World Data (RWD) analytics for pharmaceutical projects. The role emphasizes developing analysis plans, managing data extracts, and delivering clear results to internal stakeholders.

You will apply advanced statistical methods (regression, survival, propensity weighting) using SQL, SAS, and R, while collaborating with epidemiologists and clients to ensure timely, evidence-based study outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, or economics with 5+ years of RWE analytics.
• Fluency in SQL with SAS or R proficiency required.
• Deep expertise with RWE data sources such as Optum Clinformatics, Truveta, and UK Biobank, plus trial data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing study protocols and analysis plans using large RWD (Claims/EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain data extracts for research.
• Create analytical databases to facilitate data analyses.
• Conduct analyses per study protocols and plans.
• Produce tables and figures for investigators, clients, and study reports.
• Present results internally and to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of study reports and other deliverables.
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future.
