Job summary

Cytel is seeking a senior Epidemiology/Data Analytics professional in the United States to lead Real World Data (RWD) analytics within pharmaceutical development. The role involves preparing data, advising on analytic strategies, and partnering with epidemiologists to deliver timely results across multiple studies.

Responsibilities include developing study protocols, liaising with data vendors, creating analytical databases, and producing tables/figures for investigators and clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in related field and 5+ years of experience conducting RWE analytics for pharma industry, CRO, or academic institution
• Proficiency in SQL is required; SAS or R proficiency is required
• Experience with RWD sources such as Claims and/or EHR data and analytical databases

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Epidemiology team by preparing Real World data and advising on analytic strategies
• Program and conduct statistical analyses under supervision of epidemiologists/statisticians
• Support data standardization, visualization, and reporting of observational data
• Support Medical Affairs, Global Patient Safety and Risk Management and Clinical Development activities
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and prioritize multiple projects
• Communicate clearly to ensure timely project delivery
• Solve technical problems with experience and expertise
• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR)
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain data extracts for research studies
• Create analytical databases to facilitate data analyses
• Conduct analyses per study protocols and analysis plans
• Produce tables/figures for discussions and reports
• Present results internally and to clients
• Assist in preparation of study reports
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future
