Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience refactoring and evolving software architecture, managing technical debt.
• At least 2+ years on a single codebase or product; strong design pattern knowledge.
• Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Python; MATLAB is a plus.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team, focusing on target tracking and state estimation.
• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for tracking, sensor fusion, and estimation.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems and simulation environments.
• Design and implement robust filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning for noisy sensor data.
• Refactor code and apply architectural best practices to production systems.
• Analyze system performance using simulations and statistical techniques.
• Drive customer success by tailoring algorithms for mission-critical use cases.
• Integrate tracking and estimation tech into the software lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Translate technical progress into clear insights for stakeholders.
