Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering or other technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
• 2+ years on a single codebase or product, evolving it over time.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team with target tracking and state estimation expertise.
• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems; refactor legacy code for performance and scalability.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for tracking, fusion, and estimation in agile environments.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems from tactical implementations to simulators.
• Design robust filters, estimators, and probabilistic reasoning for noisy sensor data.
• Apply architectural best practices to manage technical debt and guide production systems evolution.
• Analyze system performance with simulations and modeling tools to validate benefits.
• Drive customer success by tailoring algorithms for mission-critical use cases.
• Integrate tracking and estimation into the software development lifecycle.
