Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and a technical degree.
• Experience refactoring production software and managing technical debt.
• 2+ years on a single codebase or product, expanding it as requirements evolved.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Python, and Matlab is a plus.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team, leveraging subject‑matter expertise in target tracking and state estimation.
• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Prototype and deploy state‑of‑the‑art algorithms for tracking, sensor fusion, and state estimation.
• Develop high‑performance Rust software for real‑time systems and simulation tools.
• Design and implement robust filters and probabilistic reasoning for noisy sensor data.
• Integrate tracking and estimation into the software development lifecycle from requirements to testing.
