Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a technical degree.
• Experience refactoring and evolving software architectures in production.
• At least 2+ years on a single codebase or product; expandable requirements.
• Strong design pattern knowledge for maintainable, scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Python; Matlab is a plus.
• Solid background in applied math: linear algebra, optimization, probability, stochastic processes.
• Knowledge of signal processing for radar, lidar, EO/IR data.
• Familiarity with big data pipelines NoSQL and large-scale sensor data.
• Ability to work across development lifecycles from prototyping to production.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence direction of a small team with expertise in target tracking and state estimation.
• Architect and evolve complex software systems for performance and scalability.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art tracking and sensor fusion algorithms.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems and simulations.
• Design robust filters and probabilistic reasoning for noisy sensor data.
• Apply architectural best practices to manage technical debt and production evolution.
• Analyze system performance with high-fidelity simulations and modeling tools.
• Drive customer success by tailoring algorithms for mission-critical use cases.
• Integrate tracking and estimation into the full software lifecycle, from requirements to testing.
• Translate progress into clear insights for stakeholders.
