Thomson Reuters Corp. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to lead architecture and delivery for a high-volume document-processing platform powering AI products such as Westlaw and CoCounsel.

You will primarily work in Rust with exposure to C#/.NET services, shaping scalable backend systems and ensuring low latency at scale. You will design with trade-offs, author ADRs, and drive production readiness through profiling, benchmarks, and robust testing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience building and operating backend services.
• Experience with Rust or C++ in production systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems and scaling.
• Experience designing and documenting architecture with ADRs.

Responsabilités

• Lead architecture design and set technical direction across Core and Apps.
• Write design docs/ADRs with trade-offs and metrics.
• Ensure reliability with profiling, benchmarking, and on-call readiness.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
