Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior engineer to design secure sandbox runtimes for AI coding agents, enabling safe autonomous work while preserving the host environment. You will influence runtime architecture across macOS, Windows, and Linux and collaborate with distributed teams to shape an emerging product area.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, ensure security boundaries, mentor engineers, and drive reliability and developer-focused workflows across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience building developer tools, desktop applications, runtime infrastructure, or comparable systems used by developers.
• Strong understanding of the agentic software development ecosystem.
• Experience with containers, virtual machines, sandboxes, or secure execution environments.
• Ability to reason about security and isolation boundaries and secure-by-default behavior.
• Experience driving architecture and technical strategy across multiple engineers or teams.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to navigate complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Product mindset with interest in infrastructure impact on developers.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead sandbox product development across agent integration and developer workflows.
• Build secure runtime infrastructure with isolation, safe defaults, and reliable execution.
• Improve cross-platform reliability across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Optimize sandbox lifecycle management for reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Drive architecture and technical strategy with engineering peers and product teams.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Engage with open-source communities and agentic development ecosystems.
• Own production reliability and participate in on-call rotations.
• Document and communicate effectively across the team and organization.
• Shape long-term technical direction for local runtime and filesystem layers.
