Job summary

Argo Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Claims Account Manager to lead runoff workers’ compensation claims from our Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, or Richmond offices.

This 100% in-office role requires deep claims expertise, leadership, and the ability to manage TPAs, disciplined reserving, and cost containment to achieve favorable financial outcomes. You will collaborate with actuarial, legal, compliance, and operations teams to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• At least seven years of workers’ compensation claims experience.
• Experience overseeing TPAs, complex indemnity claims, reserving, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Analytical skills with the ability to use data, dashboards, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Drive runoff outcomes through disciplined claim strategy and timely closure.
• Provide technical direction on complex workers’ compensation, claims, and litigation posture.
• Monitor TPA and internal claims performance against guidelines and goals.
• Lead audits, reviews, and stewardship discussions with corrective actions.
• Use claims data and audit results to identify trends and improve financial outcomes.
• Hold TPAs and internal staff accountable for reserving and action plans.
• Maintain continuity during transitions and runoff program changes.
• Communicate with actuarial, finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
