Job summary

Merck in the United States is seeking a Senior Territory Representative to lead field sales for Animal Health in the assigned territory, understanding customer needs and selling value-based solutions. You will develop account plans, coordinate with partners and teams, travel as required, and deliver education and programs that drive sales growth and customer value.

Remote work flexibility is available with 50% travel.

Qualifications

3 years of account management experience.
Experience within the Ruminant Industry.
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to use an iPad.

Responsibilities

Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each customer; customizes discussions based on customer needs.
Primary point of contact for assigned customers; meets with key decision makers to understand practice structure and opportunities.
Develop customer strategy and account plans to drive sales growth and opportunities.
Develop territory and account plans; partner with National Account Managers and partners to maintain focus on accounts.
Collaborate across species teams to enhance knowledge of the Animal Health portfolio.
Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
Identify programs available to address customer needs and provide education & training.
Work with leadership to develop relevant offerings addressing customer needs.
