Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic 2 (UH-60) to oversee and perform maintenance on helicopters according to drawings, manuals and safety procedures.

You will oversee removal/installation of subsystems, perform lubrication, prepare aircraft for inspections, and assist with inspections and troubleshooting. You must have 3 years rotary wing experience, 3 years aviation maintenance, 2 years on the MDS, and provide your own tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional).
• Must have three years aviation maintenance experience, three years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned MDS within the last six years.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversees removal and installation of aircraft subsystem assemblies (engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls).
• Oversees and services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
• Oversees preparation of aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks, and assists in inspections.
• Oversees and performs scheduled inspections and assists in special inspections.
• Oversees and performs limited maintenance operational checks and helps diagnose aircraft subsystems.
• Oversees use of tools and ground support equipment and maintains records.
