Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic II to oversee and perform maintenance on CH-47/AH-64/UH-60 helicopters in Hawaii. You will inspect structural integrity using nondestructive methods, analyze fluids, and supervise sub-tasks across maintenance activities.

You will lead teams, prepare maintenance records, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across shifts as needed. A&P certification is preferred; extensive rotary-wing experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• US military technical school or specialized training desirable; certification may be required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional).
• Three years aviation maintenance experience; three years rotary wing experience; two years on the MDS.
• Experience inspecting aeronautical maintenance and logging records.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and performs maintenance on helicopters and subsystems.
• Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Leads teams on complex aircraft tasks and documents records.
• Performs nondestructive inspection tasks and analyzes wear/metallurgy reports.
• Ensures safety, tool control, and compliance with applicable manuals and policies.
