Job summary

Valero is seeking a Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer to enhance reliability of rotating machinery at the Port Arthur Refinery. You will deliver mechanical engineering support, lead root cause analyses, and help advance PM/PdM programs across the refinery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science (or higher) degree in Engineering required.
• 5 years rotating equipment experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliability and maintenance mechanical engineering support to increase rotating equipment reliability.
• Support EH&S goals and refinery maintenance objectives.
• Provide direction to Maintenance as required.
• Perform root cause failure analysis on rotating equipment.
• Develop and update spare parts stocking levels for rotating equipment.
• Develop and implement refinery-wide PM and PdM programs.
• Be available to answer calls and respond to refinery issues after hours.
