Job summary

Viable Engineering Solutions in Orlando, FL seeks a Robotics Software Engineer III to own the design and delivery of software subsystems for robotic automation systems. You will take on loosely defined tasks, work out requirements, and deliver from design through commissioning, focusing on C#, robot motion, machine vision, and sensor integration.

You will work independently within the project’s technical direction, build reusable components, and validate through simulation and on-hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/Robotics or related field.
• 5+ years of software development with at least 2 years in robotics/automation.
• Strong C# and OO design with production software experience.
• Solid experience with .NET, DI, WPF, MVVM and multi-module apps.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and Git, plus unit testing.
• Experience with machine vision tools like OpenCV, Cognex, or Keyence.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of software subsystems for robotic projects from design to deployment.
• Develop components in C#, .NET, WPF, and MVVM within project architecture.
• Develop interfaces for Fanuc and other 6-axis robots and coordinate with external devices.
• Plan validation testing and analyze results for accuracy, cycle-time, and reliability.
• Lead design/code reviews and mentor junior team members.
