Job summary

Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility team is building the autonomy software powering Proteus, Amazon's first fully autonomous warehouse robot. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to join our perception and localization team, contributing to onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control.

You will collaborate with engineers across teams to advance robotic AI capabilities, sensor fusion, SLAM, and performance optimization on embedded compute platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and integrating new sensors into the autonomy software stack.
• Developing sensor fusion techniques for obstacle detection and localization.
• Developing software for SLAM shared across a robot fleet.
• Developing machine-learning capabilities for robotic perception and localization.
• Optimizing runtime performance of autonomy algorithms on hardware acceleration.
• Building frameworks for large-scale replay and analysis of sensor data.
• Building frameworks to monitor and manage resources on embedded compute.
