Job summary

Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility team develops software that powers Proteus, Amazon Robotics’ first fully-autonomous mobile warehouse robot. We are growing and seek a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated SDE to join our Fleet Management team in North Reading, MA.

As an engineer on the Fleet Management team, you are a key member of a diverse, collaborative team of engineers who deliver highly scalable robotic systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of software design/architecture for large-scale systems.
• Experience with OO design and multiple programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.
• Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term roadmap.
• Work with stakeholders to iterate on design and implementation.
• Maintain high standards with reviews, fault tolerance, and operational excellence.
• Prototype and test concepts via simulation and live robotics equipment.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to test prototypes and gather feedback.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
