Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II for the Autonomy Platform, Data and Tools team in North Reading, MA. You will contribute to onboard mapping, perception, motion planning, and control software for Proteus, Amazon’s autonomous warehouse robot, and help evolve ML training/deployment pipelines.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize performance, integrate sensors, and develop platform software on Nvidia Jetpack.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
3+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience in embedded development in C/C++, or experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

Optimize runtime performance of core algorithms by exploiting hardware acceleration capabilities.
Integrate new sensors and hardware components into the autonomy software stack.
Develop and customize the Nvidia Jetpack based platform and OS.
Develop software to enable remote diagnostics, recovery and control of autonomous robots.
Design and develop software interfaces to enable hardware testing and manufacturing processes.
Develop embedded middleware to accelerate the development of other engineering teams.
Mentor other engineer team members.
