Job summary

Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility software team develops the autonomy software powering Proteus, Amazon’s first fully autonomous warehouse robot. We seek a Software Development Engineer for perception, localization, and ML, building onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control software.

You will collaborate with engineers across the team to develop cloud-based robot log replay and simulation capabilities, mentor peers, and contribute to long‑term roadmaps for generalizable

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large systems.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop perception capabilities for new sensor modalities, 3D obstacle avoidance, and localization for autonomous mobile robots.
• Collaborate with machine learning and perception experts to implement, measure, and deploy algorithms.
• Prototype and test concepts through simulation, emulators, and live robotic equipment; profile and optimize system performance.
