Amazon in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer focused on Applied Automation Controls and embedded software for robotics workcells. You will architect and implement real-time control systems, integrate motion controllers, sensors, and distributed software architecture to enable high-performance automation in production environments.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with hardware teams to optimize devices, drivers, and RTOS configurations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time embedded control software for robotic workcells.
• Develop architectures balancing real-time performance with maintainability.
• Lead development of control algorithms within robot controls architecture.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to define interfaces and optimize drivers.
• Mentor team members on embedded systems and real-time programming.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
