Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Staff Robotics Engineer to lead end‑to‑end vehicle perception and planning capabilities in our autonomous platforms. You will own the architecture, select sensors, implement perception and planning components, and guide teams through validation and testing across the product lifecycle.

The role requires senior IC leadership, strong C++/Python skills, and experience with autonomous systems, sensor fusion, CV, and ML. Travel up to 20% will be needed and a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in STEM field.
• 3+ years of C++ and/or Python software development.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors.
• Knowledge of CV, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or ML.
• Senior perception or planning role experience.
• Technical owner for system with stakeholders and roadmap.
• Ability to validate perception/planning modules with robust testing.
• Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver multi-year software roadmap across teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams for integration and evolution of capabilities.
• Lead architecture and implementation of safe navigation and collision avoidance systems.
• Develop and test sensor, perception, and planning stacks for autonomous vehicles.
• Perform high impact IC work across perception and planning areas.
• Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and ML to improve autonomy.
• Validate algorithms via simulation and real-world experiments.
