Job summary

1X is building advanced networking systems for its humanoid robots. The Core team owns the C++ infrastructure, ensuring low-latency, high-throughput networking across sensor data, control, and cloud interactions.

The mission is to ship reliable networking as the fleet scales from hundreds to tens of thousands of robots. You will partner with Cloud Infra and Apps to optimize peer-to-peer and client-server communications, deliver multimodal data streams, and establish robust protocols for

Qualifications

• 6+ years in network engineering or distributed systems.
• Experience shipping production network systems at large scale.
• Proficient with TCP/IP, UDP, WebRTC and video protocols.
• Experience with Wi‑Fi/5G in mobile or embedded systems.
• Proven ability to write production-grade C++.

Responsibilities

• Own design and execution of networking systems on the core robot.
• Collaborate with Cloud Infra and Apps to scale operations.
• Set technical standards and lead architecture decisions.
