Job summary

Dexmate is seeking a hands-on leader to own the robot engineering organization, including firmware, real-time controls, teleoperation, and support functions. You will review firmware and control code, drive root-cause investigations, and build scalable processes to support a growing fleet of robots in the field.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics engineering with dynamics, kinematics, and estimation.
• Experience owning a shipped hardware product post-launch with firmware releases.
• Hands-on: regularly writes and reviews production firmware/controls code.

Responsibilities

• Own robot-side firmware architecture and roadmaps.
• Lead control and planning stack development.
• Sustain and extend deployed product line through updates.
• Own teleoperation system and data pipelines.
• Build and manage customer support and escalation processes.
• Turn feedback into prioritized engineering work and releases.
• Investigate hardware failures with hardware/manufacturing teams.
• Build engineering training function for firmware, controls, teleoperation.
• Set engineering standards for safety-critical software releases.
• Stay hands-on by reviewing critical code.
