Gresham Smith in Baton Rouge is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager to lead transportation planning and design initiatives, manage client relationships, and deliver complex road and highway projects on time and within budget.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with public agencies, and oversee construction documents, estimates, and QA/QC while leveraging ORD and DOT project experience to advance the firm’s presence in Louisiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, or Civil Engineering Technology.
• 10–15 years in roadway design or transportation project delivery.
• AICP or Professional Engineer (PE) certification desired.
• Strong DOT project experience preferred.
• Experience with ORD is strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead transportation planning and design projects from initiation through construction.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in scope.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including internal staff and sub-consultants.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and staff for project delivery.
• Oversee development of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Track financial performance and coordinate with leadership on project reviews.
