Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Civil Project Manager, Transportation to lead transportation design projects including roadways, sewer and drainage. Requirements include a PE license in Louisiana (or within 6 months) and 8+ years in roadway design coordination. Travel to project sites and Westwood offices is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed PE in Louisiana or able to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in roadway design, drainage and sewer coordination; travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control project team activities, including scope, budget and schedule.
• Maintain quality control and act as primary client contact for each project.
• Set goals, evaluate staff performance, mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate staff resources with PMs and Principals across the firm.
• Participate in contract negotiations, approve billing and manage scope changes.
• Meet or exceed group and individual performance goals.
• Communicate project requirements to all team members.
• Commit resources and issue start/stop orders per contract directives.
