Job summary

HNTB is seeking a lead engineer in Raleigh, NC to direct, mentor, and manage design calculations, technical reports, and project deliverables for complex infrastructure projects.

You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and partners, and oversee staffing, scheduling, and budgets. A PE is preferred, with significant experience in highway and civil engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work and manage schedule/budget.
• Assist with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects.
• Ensure completeness and quality of team work; mentor staff.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client and partners.
• Recruit, hire, develop staff; manage timecards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
