Job summary

HNTB’s Raleigh, NC office is seeking a Roadway Engineer III to join our roadway design team on complex North Carolina projects for NCDOT. You will develop designs, calculations, and technical reports, working with project managers to deliver high-quality road projects.

Opportunities to mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines are available. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years’ experience, or an advanced degree with less experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred with relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with relevant experience considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produces and modifies design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects.
• Collaborates with project manager to perform research, development and delivery of designs.
• Mentors junior staff and provides feedback; contributes to multi-discipline project teams.
